Air Popper!

My friend Cailin is off on a new adventure! She is going to Toronto to be female swing in Come From Away, SO amazing! We went to see her in Bitter Girl before she left.

And she sold me her air popper for 5 bucks! I love popcorn!!

Breakfast with the Bears

Yesterday we went up to Grouse Mountain and had breakfast with the bears!

My husband has been planning this for a long time. He knows I love bears and he loves them too!

We took the gondola up and looked at some cool statues.

And then we SAW THE BEARS!

These are two orphaned bears that live in a sanctuary up on Grouse Mountain.

We learned a lot about their habitat and I asked the volunteer a billion questions.

Can you see how happy I am about seeing the bears??

We saw them get food. They have to go for a swim to get some apples.

They had a lot of other cool attractions on the mountain but we weren't able to see them. Next time!

Bears, bears, bears!

Then we went in and had the breakfast buffet.

They limit the breakfast to about 30 people.

And we got bear ears!

It was very sunny when we left the mountain. Look at those healthy people, doing yoga.

Summer vibes

It's summer and it's hot. Noodlebox is the best, when you don't want to cook. Which for me is like, always.

It's nice to meet up in the park to eat and play Connect Four.

Brunch for trivia winners

Yesterday the four of us trivia winners managed to connect and cash in on our winnings - $50 gc for brunch!

Refelxology

This past spring my dear friend Matthew obtained his Master's degree from York University. I helped him edit two drafts of his thesis. It was nice seeing him on Skype for a few hours! And what a dear, he got me a gift certificate for a reflexology place. I have never been before, so I got the 1/2 treatment - I didn't want it to be too intense. It was SUCH a lovely treat!

Trivia night

Yesterday a bunch of us wanted to go to a trivia night. We couldn't find one, the internet failed us! All the postings for local trivia nights were outdated. So we ended up at Eastwood, a pub on Fraser. And guess what - it was their trivia night! How serendipitous. And more importantly, WE WON! We snagged a $50 gift certificate, so we will definitely be back.

St. Andrew's Spring Fair

This past weekend, St. Andrew's had their Spring Fair. Even though I grew up in this area and even went to this school for my elementary years, I have never been to their Spring Fair.

I went with my mom and sister. They had a great silent auction, games, bouncy castles, and food.

Done and DONE

Earlier I posted about paying off my student loan. I got a letter making it all official and just had to share. I'm so proud of paying this sucker off!

All done!

This notification came up on my Time Hop app yesterday. This was in reference to finishing my masters, 9 years ago! And guess what, this week I made the last payment of my student loan. Phew, that took a long time. But now I am REALLY all done!

Beach walks and Dessert

We had so much sun this weekend, compared to all the SNOW and RAIN over the last few months. It was SO nice!

We walked along the beach and took in a nice sunset. It looks like we're back to rain this week, but it's ok, Spring definitely feels like it's in the air.

After our beach walks, we hit up Sweet Revenge for some dessert. We used to go here a lot but kind of forgot about it. I'm glad we remembered!

Root canal

Today I had to have an emergency root canal. It's about as fun as it sounds. Here I am, with a bit of a swollen face. Ugh!

Snow! Why?! I'm so over it! And tomorrow we leave for New York where it's going to be COLD! But that will be ok, since we'll be in NYC baby!

Anniversary

This past weekend we celebrated our 11 year anniversary. This photo on time hop says 10 years, but that's because I posted on our 1st anniversary.

Time sure does fly. Look how cute my niece is!

This year we celebrated by being in the same room! Sometimes we are in different shows or different cities, but the hubs had an opening this weekend, which I got to attend. We were with many friends who were at our wedding, so that was fun!
