Countdown is on!

It's December and the countdown is on for Christmas! I wish I could be more crafty at this time of year, but I work, I sing with a carolling group, I try to keep up with all the holiday events, and I have limited time for crafting! Here are some things I have on my to-do list:

Birthday cakes, and giveaway update

 I know, I know, I said I would post about my November giveaway yesterday, but I was too busy celebrating my actual birthday. We had a big brunch and then had cake all afternoon. But LOOK at the cake my sister made me!!

 It is a YARN cake! Look at the basket weave and rice krispy balls of yarn. How perfect!!

 And here's another one she made for my sister, who's birthday is tomorrow. Zebra! Cosmetics! Ugg boot! Purse! WOW!!

So you see why I was distracted, don't you? I'll post about the giveaway tomorrow, I promise...unless I'm too busy eating cake...!

We are just heading into summer here, but in the winter we just had I forgot to check the back of my wardrobe for my nice jumpers. I've been wearing the old ones and wishing I had something new to wear. Found them about 2 weeks ago! LOL

Last Friday the hubs and I came home to find a package sitting outside our door. Usually when we order something online, we're both on the lookout for when it arrives at our house. But neither one of us recalled ordering anything. It was addressed to me, lookie what I got:

It's a book from Crafts 'n Things on how to incorporate art into your everyday life. I pick up this magazine every so often and subscribe to their online newsletter. They have a link on their website where you can click and enter to win free stuff. The best thing about this is that I don't even remember entering, and the free book just showed up on my doorstep.
