Beach walks and Dessert

We had so much sun this weekend, compared to all the SNOW and RAIN over the last few months. It was SO nice!

We walked along the beach and took in a nice sunset. It looks like we're back to rain this week, but it's ok, Spring definitely feels like it's in the air.

After our beach walks, we hit up Sweet Revenge for some dessert. We used to go here a lot but kind of forgot about it. I'm glad we remembered!

Christmas 2016

Weekends

It was a lovely weekend here on the west coast. We did a lot of eating and drinking!

And it's going to be 25 degrees today, yippee!

My co-worker returned from a trip to New Orleans. She brought back pralines! Oh boy, this was sugary goodness with my afternoon coffee!

Pie

Last weekend I went out to Steveston in Richmond. Look at the lovely pattern on the street:

I was in search of PIE! A friend of mine works for The Pie Hole, and they deliver wholesale to a few places. There were stores closer to my house, but they were closed for the Easter long weekend. So I made the drive out to Steveston and picked up these 3 inch pies.

They're the perfect size - I gobbled it up!

Sunday nights

It's Sunday night and we're winding down the weekend and gearing up for another week. Hubby, while watching football on TV, says to me, "I think we need dessert, you should go get us ice cream." That didn't happen. But it got me thinking of this squeaky cake I made a little while ago:

Cute, but not nearly as fun as real dessert...ice cream...mmm... Gonna see if I can bribe hubby to make a trip to Safeway...
