Beach walks and Dessert

We had so much sun this weekend, compared to all the SNOW and RAIN over the last few months. It was SO nice!

We walked along the beach and took in a nice sunset. It looks like we're back to rain this week, but it's ok, Spring definitely feels like it's in the air.

After our beach walks, we hit up Sweet Revenge for some dessert. We used to go here a lot but kind of forgot about it. I'm glad we remembered!

Weekend eats

Good morning. Here are some pictures of things I ate this weekend. Very important stuff, I tell ya.

I used my stove for the first time since moving in. Mmm meaty, cheesy pasta goodness.

Night Market

We went to check out the night market in Richmond again. The last time I went was almost 2 years ago, when I purchased the rotato. Ah, what a thing of beauty!

This year my mom got some mango stein and lichees.

It looks like she's haggling over the price, but really, she's just paying!

I didn't get the rotato, because the line up was so long. I did stand in line for corn. You get a little corn voucher while you wait.

Look! Corn corn corn! So worth the wait!

Weekends

It was a lovely weekend here on the west coast. We did a lot of eating and drinking!

And it's going to be 25 degrees today, yippee!

Long Weekend

The long weekend is here! I get an extra long weekend, because I have Friday AND Monday off, for the Easter holidays. My weekend will be filled with brunch, the closing of Little Miss Glitz, and fun times with friends. I hope yours is fun too - here are some pictures of beer and nachos, to get you in the mood. 

Moody Ales visit

We went on an adventure this weekend! Our dear friend Sharon, whom we have know with through the theatre world for many years, gave us a donation for the dean's staff Christmas lunch that I help out with every year. Her husband Adam opened a brewery in Port Moody, called Moody Ales. They donated this lovely basket!

So we went out there on Friday night to pick up the goods, and have a tasting flight too.

Their beer is amazing, so, so good. We are two happy customs, as you can see, and we'll definitely be back!

Weekend in review

It's already Tuesday. But here is a recap of my weekend, if you're interested!

I tried out a new Zumba teacher, she was great! But I was a little bit early for class:

We had another round of birthday celebrations, this time with Leyna, who turned 6 yesterday!

Sunny Walks

The weather has just been gorgeous lately! It's great for strolling around town.

Here I am in East Van, close to the place we're rehearsing for Hairspray. I tried to take a picture to capture all the cotton blossoms floating around, but you can't really see. You can see the sun though!

And here is lovely Olympic Village.

Usually we are just stopping through for a coffee on our way to Renegade to rehearse, but we were able to sit and stroll last weekend. We saw a seal wading around in that water! And people in kayaks and lounging on the rocks. Vancouver really is a beautiful city.

East Van Eats

Last weekend Shawna and I were in East Van, eating! I got lucky in East Van, at this brunch spot - Wish List.

Then we stopped at Ernest Ice Cream for a sundae. Oh boy.

Baker's Market

I took a picture of this, so I would remember. I've heard about this baker's market - and it's very close to my parents' house. I have been meaning to check it out, hopefully I can go this weekend. And it's a long weekend too, woo hoo!

CK and The Galley

Here is the hubs, carting around audio equipment so our mics will sound good for Into The Woods.

We had a 2-show day last Saturday, so rewarded ourselves by going to The Galley on our dinner break. HOW have I not heard about this place before? Good food, good drinks and the view was amazing. We'll be back, for sure.

Bowling!

My friend Allison celebrated her birthday on the weekend. It was a 50s theme, so we all dressed up and went bowling. Glow in the dark bowling!

You can't see them too well, but here's a pic of my shoes. I always liked the look of bowling shoes.

And we got candy bags! The sugar helped me bowl better.

And good think you can't see this to well either - our scores. We came third out of third in the tournament. But it was still lots of fun!

Eagles at TUTS

Last weekend I was down at Theatre Under the Stars for a callback. It was just gorgeous out!

The bowl was all closed up and empty.

But look, there were two audience members, wayyy up in the tree. It's a favourite spot for these two eagles:
