Snow! Why?! I'm so over it! And tomorrow we leave for New York where it's going to be COLD! But that will be ok, since we'll be in NYC baby!

Snowy Vancouver

We've had a lot of snow over the past week, but the rains have finally washed things away.

It's hard to get around in the snow, especially because us west coasters are so not used to it. But it's lovely and sure puts me in the holiday mood. Like this Santa bear head hanging in my tree!

Snow

It snowed quite a bit this week in Vancouver.

It's a rare thing for us, so I was glad for my sturdy boots and reliable car. Be safe out there, people!

Snow!

It's snowing! This is a big deal for us - we don't get a lot of snow in Vancouver. Here is the first little sprinkling: snow covering some spring blooms that are trying to grow.

A few hours later, the yard was covered.

Here's my drive in to work (no, I did not take this picture while driving, no sirree!): 

UBC is covered in snow. I can't stop staring out the window. I'm not getting any work done.

I was a bit worried because I got home late Monday night, and my walk looked like this:  

We're supposed to clear the walkway in the morning and I didn't have a snow shovel. Usually the hubby does this but he's away on the island. So when I got to work the next morning, I called my Pa to ask if he could drop off a shovel. He didn't drop one off, but he DID shovel my entire walk for me! So nice, right?? What a guy!!

Snow message

We had a very light dusting of snow earlier this week - which is a big deal for us Vancouverites!
