Done and DONE

Earlier I posted about paying off my student loan. I got a letter making it all official and just had to share. I'm so proud of paying this sucker off!

All done!

This notification came up on my Time Hop app yesterday. This was in reference to finishing my masters, 9 years ago! And guess what, this week I made the last payment of my student loan. Phew, that took a long time. But now I am REALLY all done!

Back to school blues

Have I told you how busy it is, when term is in session and it's back to school season? It's SO BUSY! The back to school blues have got me thinking about - BEER. The one on the far right is a grapefruit ale, so refreshing and yummy. And hey, we're one day closer to the weekend!

Back to school

Tomorrow is back to school. As an administrator who works at UBC, this is crazy times for me. At the end of the day, I feel like this:

I do love learning and being a student though. There's such a lovely buzz in the air at the start of September! 

School Madness

I'm into the third week of back to school madness. And it truly has been insane! I took this pic on the first day of class and haven't had a moment to breathe since! Well not really, but man, is it ever busy. Hopefully this week will settle down and I'll actually make a dent in the work piling up on my desk. Until then, here's some snapshots from the first couple weeks.

Last day of Summer

Well, not really, fall officially starts on September 21. But it's the last day before school starts. We went back to the PNE for CORN! And other things, but mostly for corn. It was a nice time out before the back to school madness starts again.

Spin, Life, and back to school

Today is the first day of school! Well actually at UBC no classes are in session because we have Imagine Day where students go around and check out subjects that they might be interested in majoring in. Nevertheless, this place is hopping. Lots of students are back on campus and the place is certainly not as quiet as it was during the summer months. Oh how I love back to school!

To "celebrate" September (ha!), I took a spin class last night with my sister. Now you know I've been crazy for Zumba and have tried out classes all over the city. But my sister is a runner and spinner, and she's been trying to drag me to a spin class for months now. I finally tried one out. It was TOUGH but good. And oh boy, am I sore. I think I kept up pretty well for my first class. I will have to go again, now that I know what to expect. It's a great workout, but I still love my Zumba classes.

It's back to school for this guy too. He gets an extra day off since his school starts tomorrow. I said, "Noah, show me your best 'I'm going into Grade 3' pose!" And here's what he came up with. Pretty cool, huh!
