Spooky fall

It's fall in YVR! I took a picture of these lovely trees but it turned out blurry, and a little spooky.

And here's something really spooky - my  mom's apartment lobby. It's almost Halloween!

Fall flowers

Don't you just love autumn? I put my fake pumpkin on our table, since I don't think we will get trick or treaters this year.

Fall is definitely in the air. And beside my coffee.

Here's a little project I made for a friend, using this pin.

I had to adjust the pattern a bit to make smaller leaves, since I was running out of yarn. But I think they turned out very nicely.

Autumn

It's official fall in Vancouver! Here is a pumpkin whoopee pie and a creamy Americano. Mmmm.

Fall tea

This first week of September is always so much cooler than the last few days of August. The fall vibe has got me consuming tea in the evenings. Tea and… cheesecake!

Back to school

Tomorrow is back to school. As an administrator who works at UBC, this is crazy times for me. At the end of the day, I feel like this:

I do love learning and being a student though. There's such a lovely buzz in the air at the start of September! 

Harvest Fair

Last week I popped into my niece Leyna's school Harvest Fair.

The decorations really got me into the autumn sprint. Halloween is coming!

They had a few things for sale, mostly books.

They had a cake wake. Cake walks crack me up! You literal walk around for cake!

CK's Birthday

This past Monday was not only Thanksgiving, but my hubby's birthday! In amongst all the festivities, we snuck in time for beer:

Pumpkin Spice Americano

It's fall! Pumpkin spice is in the air! I love autumn!! I know everyone is crazy for pumpkin spice lattes at Starbucks, but the milk makes my tummy hurt. So I asked my barista to make me a pumpkin spice americano - exactly the same, but hot water instead of milk. PERFECT!

Rain

After an insanely hot and dry summer, we're back to rain. I don't mind it so much, except when my poor hubbie has to clear the sewer of leaves.

And it gives me a chance to try out my new teas. This is salted caramel! YUM! Autumn's coming!

Autumn at UBC

There's so many lovely trees on campus, losing their leaves and looking gorgeous all the while:

Don't get me wrong, there's a lot of rain too!

But then we have moment's like this - I see blue sky up there!

Soup days again

It's been so drippy and rain these days, which makes me want to have soup all the time. Vendula left me some fabulous crackers on my desk...

And they WERE fabulous!

Fall bloom

It's the first day of fall! We had gorgeous summer weather on the weekend and then woke up to cloudy skies. But look, one last little summer bloom wants to say hello before the cold weather hits. Happy Autumn!
