Knit Legwarmers

My friend Kate requested some rainbow knit leg warmers. Not really summer wear, but they will be great for the fall.

Peas in a pod

A friend of mine works in a small museum and wanted a pea-shelling station.
A spot where kids could shell peas.
So I made a bunch of crocheted peas and pods for her. They turned out really well!

Crocheted Mary Poppins

I had a request from Nicol to make up another Mary Poppins. This time, for a friend of ours who is playing Mary Poppins at TUTS.
I made her a wee cupcake, since the real life Mary Poppins (Ranae) is a baker. And her hat comes off too, because it's cute like that. She turned out really cute, I think :)

Custom Kangaroo

I got a request for another custom order from Amy, after I finished her Star Wars project.
Her daughter requested a peach kangaroo with white bows.
So specific, ha! So I got busy and made up these two.
Very fun project!

Custom Eeyore

I have been getting lots of request for custom made goods these days, which I am happy to accommodate.
My friend asked for a crocheted friend, for her friend. He was fast and easy to make. Yay Eeyore!

Pussy Hat

I didn't get a chance to march, but it was so inspiring to see a sea of pink during the women's marches across the world a few weeks back.
My friend Dawna participate, but was sad to not have her own pussy hat. She requested a knit one, in fuchsia pink - voila!
Model: me! It was very fast to make up, using Cascade 220. I might cast on and make myself one :)

More Bun hats thingies

I scribbled down a quick pattern for these ponytail bun hat things, and had to make a few more, to see if the pattern made sense.
I don't have long enough hair to put it all up through the top, but I think they turned out.
Here is the one I made for Amy, who gave me this idea in the first place.
Don't my laminate floors look nice?!

Custom Order: Play Pouches

My friend Amy got in touch with me a few weeks' back, to see if I could make some Christmas presents for her.
Here they are, little play pouches.
One is woodland themed, with mushrooms and bugs; the other is farm yard themed, with flowers and animals.
They all tie up in a pouch nicely and ready to go for next time!

Ponytail/bun hat

My friend Amy asked for a few custom orders for Christmas, including a ponytail/bun hat.
It was the first time I'd heard of something like this, but it's so smart! Your ponytail or hair bun goes out the top of the hat - so clever!

Crochet Charmander

My friend Ranae asked me to make crochet as a Christmas present for her brother. Here's the photo she sent me for inspiration.
I know nothing about Pokemon! But this was very fun to make, with the yarn from my Secret Friend.
His little tale has flames shooting out the back! I think he's a dragon?
And look, he likes the Christmas tree!

Apple Home

I continue to make progress on this project for my friend. She also wanted a little apple home, that housed a little caterpillar. She sent me a picture and I came up with this. It looks more like a bee than a caterpillar but oh well!
Here he/she is, all tucked into bed. I love the flower pillow and blanket. All snug inside their apple home.

Fishies in baskets

Here is a little project that I'm working on for a friend.
Her daughter loves placing little items in little containers. So I made her some fishies in baskets.
And they all stack up nicely.

Leaves

Here's a little project I made for a friend, using this pin.
I had to adjust the pattern a bit to make smaller leaves, since I was running out of yarn. But I think they turned out very nicely.

Will crochet for meals

A couple years ago, I posted about Ready Maid Meals. I really love the meal delivery service, it works so well for me because I'm always on the go and I don't really like cooking all that much.

And back in May I posted about making these custom dolls for my friend Dustin. Well, it's his family who owns Ready Maid Meals. So instead of paying me for the dolls and the shipping, he paid me in meals! We did a trade - and I got 10 yummy dishes for my crocheting skills!
Their stuff is delicious, it comes right to my door, and you just unfreeze them overnight and pop them in the microwave. The portions are very big, so I can get 2-3 servings from one tray.
And when you order 1- dishes, you get a free pie! I picked blueberry, and shared it with my mom. She loved it - and she is very picky about desserts. But she had almost half the pie to herself!

Clown Boy

And the last custom order for Tuck and Daisy. He's my favourite, because he sort of looks like my friend Dustin.

Flower Girl

My friend Dustin wrote a show, Tuck and Daisy! He asked me to make up some dolls to match the characters. The first one I did was this flower girl.
It took awhile, but I think she turned out ok. I'll post about her piggy friend tomorrow.

Order

A gal who works with my sister found my blog and placed a custom order with me.
She wanted Dave the Minion
I like Dave's hair!
A close up of his little legs. Too cute.
She also requested this thing - a gudetama.
It's some kind of egg thingy??
And a couple of cup cozies.
I made the egg dude detachable.
You know, so he can get up and dance if he wanted to.
