Crocheted princes

I got a custom order from Claire, my friend who works for Disney, as Elsa, and others. She asked for three princes to be made, for her husband Dustin, who plays Jack Sparrow, and also Cinderella's Prince, Flynn from Tangled, and Prince Eric from the Little Mermaid. Here they are!

Crocheted Mary Poppins

I had a request from Nicol to make up another Mary Poppins. This time, for a friend of ours who is playing Mary Poppins at TUTS.
I made her a wee cupcake, since the real life Mary Poppins (Ranae) is a baker. And her hat comes off too, because it's cute like that. She turned out really cute, I think :)

Crocheted Ariel

My friend who requested Eeyore played Ariel this month in the Little Mermaid.
She's such a lovely gal, I just had to make her a custom Ariel.
I love her big red hair!

Custom Eeyore

I have been getting lots of request for custom made goods these days, which I am happy to accommodate.
My friend asked for a crocheted friend, for her friend. He was fast and easy to make. Yay Eeyore!

Crocheted Jack Sparrow

Yesterday I posted about a crocheted Elsa for Dustin. Well here is the second part of his custom order request: Captain Jack Sparrow. Here is the inspiration pic he sent me:
And here is crocheted Jack!
I love his little goatee, it cracks me up. Here they are, the happy couple:
Have an idea for a custom order? Holler at me, I love a challenge!

Crocheted Picard

After all the crocheted characters I made over the summer, you'd think I was sick of them. NOPE! My friend asked for a crocheted Picard. A challenge! How could I resist?

Here's the pic of Picard that I used:
And here he is! Wait, there's TWO Picards!
That's because I made the one on the right and he turned out bigger than I wanted. So I made another.
She loved them both, and snapped up the extra for her friend. In return, she left a gift certificate to Michaels and a bag of stuffing at my backdoor. YAY!!

Crocheted Dobby

Here's another commission from a cast member, for their secret friend, who is a huge Harry Potter fan.
They requested Dobby! I found some pics online and free-styled this guy:
I didn't have green glass eyes, so I made do with yarn and black safety eyes. Dobby is such a sweetie.
Dobby was a gift for Elyse, my dressing room buddy. It was so wonderful to sit beside her all summer, that I made her another treat: a crocheted Hermione. I was putting the finishing touches on her right up to the bitter end, so I didn't manage to take proper pictures of her. But here she is, among all of Elyse's goods.

Crocheted Tracy

How could I refuse Erin, when she asked for a crocheted Tracy?? She is a dear friend and was the STAR of the show, so I was happy to immortalize her in yarn form. Here's the starting pic:
And here's Tracy!
I love how her hair flip turned out. I mixed two strands of yarn to try to get a patterned look for her dress.
Erin also traded me a bottle of wine. That's an interesting business model: dolls for booze!

Crocheted Velma

After the Seaweed I made, next up was Lori, who played Velma in Hairspray. Here is the starting photo I used:
And here's my crocheted version of Velma.
Her hair gave me a bit of trouble, but I'm happy with how it turned out.
Lori gave me a bottle of wine in return. That's a fair trade, I'd say!!

Crocheted Seaweed

Now that Hairspray has closed, I have a bit of free time before the back to school madness begins. A few people asked me to make up some yarn people, especially after seeing the Avengers set I made for Dustin. I was also commissioned to make a crocheted Seaweed. Here's the picture I used to copy his outfit:
And here's what I came up with:
I like how the pattern of his shirt turned out!
And here is David with his mini-me!

Crocheted Madeline

I made a little Madeline! This is the picture I used as reference.

And here's what I came up with:
This is a gift for Nicol, by way of her Hairspray Secret Friend. A few people saw the Avengers set I made for Dustin and ordered a couple of characters for their friends.
I thought about flat ironing her hair, so it didn't stick out so much. But then thought, what the heck, it gives her character!
I like her little yellow hat, it makes me smile.
Hope she makes you smile too!
