Crochet Squirrel

I have a couple friends from Australia, and they are just mad about squirrels. I think I take squirrels for granted, having seen them in my backyard all my life. This one friend is making a package for a baby back in Oz, and wanted to include some Canadiana. She asked me to make her a squirrel.

Here's what I came up with. The tail was the hardest part, because of the boucle yarn. It was so fuzzy and finicky. But he turned out ok.

I added his lighter tummy and nose after, I felt he needed a bit of contrast colour.
