Some amigurumi
I have been making some little amigurumi projects, with the patterns from this wonderful site.
I used up some of the purple yarn I had leftover from this project.
The animals are small - so I can finish one in about an hour and a half.
I modified the pattern a bit to go from the bottom up. This is so that I don't have to join the legs on one by one. I think they have a bit more sturdiness to them.
I like the bunny ears, they're so big and floppy!
They look like a happy bunch, don't they?

Cat Love
I made another project from the yarn Colleen gave me. She had some half-finished projects in there too, including this mystery piece:
It looks like maybe two sleeves or the front and back of a small item. The yarn was a mystery too - no ball band - but it was lovely and soft. Then I looked up some inspiration on my Pinterest Board about what to do with old sweaters.
I decided to rip back the two pieces so they were the same height, then bound off each one. I sewed up the sides, stuffed it, made ears, defined the neck, gave him ears and a face, and finished off with a scarf. Ta - da - a cat!
I called this blog post "Cat Love" because he's a nice shade of red and it's close to Valentines Day.

Granny square cube
I found a project to use up some of my mis-matched granny squares - this little granny square cube! It has a little bell inside and was perfect for my friend's 4 month old daughter. I just chose 6 squares, and did a single crochet to join them in a light shade of blush pink. I made another one for my friend's baby boy, but of course I forgot to snap a pic. So this is all you get, but it's cute huh!
