Kensington Craft Fair 2015

Well that was fun! Saturday was the Kensginton Craft Fair. Here's my table, all set up:
It was freezing in the gym! They had some kind of heat problem, so I stayed huddled against the wall. Here's my view.
I had some visitors, of course.
This one liked my minions!
And this one liked the mini marshmallows in the hot chocolate!
This cowl scarf was my best seller. I made a whole bunch of them and only 2 remain, including this green one.
So it was a lot a successful day and a lot of fun too :)

Kensington Holiday Craft Fair

Mark your calendars for December 5th! This will be my second year selling at the Kensington Craft Fair. I had a blast last year, so I'm really looking forward to this year.

Magee Market Fair 2015 Wrap up

Friday night was the Magee Market Fair - 2015 edition!

I put my loom to good use, as always:
And made some minions and bear heads!
The baked goods like cupcakes and donuts are always a hit. I sold a lot of those crochet cup warmers too.
Here's the secret to a fun craft fair: good food...
And visitors :D
It was certainly quieter this year, but still a lot of fun.

5th Year of Magee Market Fair

Tonight is the Magee Market Fair 2015 and I'm excited! This is my 5th year participating as a vendor at the market fair, time sure flies! I like how it benefits the Magee Music Society, and they get a lot of the kids involved. The students call me to remind me about booking a table, and they help me bring in my wares from the car. They also hand out free coffee to the vendors, and there are so many student performances throughout the night. I've had some fun over the years:

2011 was my first year and I had a TON of stock. It was also the year I made Angry Birds, and they sold like hot cakes.

In 2012 I had a table next to Oh Hello Rabbit, so it was nice to have a selling buddy. I started making more desserts like donuts and cupcakes, and also sold some little magnets.
In 2013 I packaged items up and sold them as little sets. They didn't do as well I thought - I think the price point of the market is lower so I thin people wanted individual items. It was also the year I introduced yarn flower pins: $2 each of one free with every purchase!
In 2014 I made a lot of items on my loom, since I had just learned how to use it. I'm still obsessed with it, so there will be a lot more loom-knit items on my table. I also had a table next to my sister, who sold purse organizers. And my friend Linda loaned me her mannequin, which is such a nice display.
And that takes us to this year, 2015! I'll have an update for you on Monday. But I already know it's going to be fun. My helper and top sales-lady Allison will be with me again. We're hanging out in a high school gym on a Friday night, then going for pizza. We're teenagers!

Spotted in Starbucks:
I always have such a fun time at this event, and I've stockpiled a lot of yarn goodies to sell. Next Friday, wheeee!

Kensington Craft Fair

Last weekend I got a table at the Kensington Craft Fair! I never sold at this market, nor attended it. I set up my table at home for practice:
One of the little snowmen was the first thing to go. A little boy bought it and paid entirely in quarters!
Here I am, all set up!
And here was my helper for the morning:
And Noah came to help in the afternoon! My sis Anna was my all-day helper and seller extraordinare.
It was a lot of fun - a really great market, very good prices and friendly people. They sold hot dogs and soup all day. And I made some money and got rid of some of my stock, so yay!

Dunbar Craft Fair

It's craft fair season! This past weekend, my and my sis went to the Dunbar Craft Fair.
It certainly got me into the holiday spirit, what with all the decoration and Christmas music.
Here's the lobby windows, nicely painted with Christmas scenes.
And here is one of the many lovely vendor displays.
Such lovely stuff! I bought caramel sauce and my sister got some cards. Plus she won shortbread cookies as a door prize, wheeee - Christmas!!

Dessert containers

I found a couple of nice clear containers to package up my crocheted desserts. I had been searching for these since it's nice to make a package set of the desserts, but I only found two of them. I think you can order then in bulk but hey, they look pretty cute!

Here's Set One: two donuts, two cupcakes, and four cookies.
And Set Two: four cupcakes and eight cookies.
I don't have a craft fair lined up to sell them at, but I'm sure one will come up soon.

Urban Artisans Craft Fair Wrap-up

What a weekend! The Urban Artisans Craft Fair at the Roundhouse was a great event, so great that I forgot to take pictures. Thankfully my table buddy Melissa was wise enough to document the experience here. I did get a couple pics:

Our Table
Super awesome cotton hankie from Amrita
The best part of the fair was meeting all the other super nice vendors. I sure do love the crafting community!

Tea for you

Would you like some tea?
Or how about just a cupcake?
I, of course, don't have time for tea and cupcakes because I'm STILL not finished making stuff for the Urban Artisans Craft Fair!

Blim Community Market

Last Sunday I went to check out the Blim Community Market, where my friend Oh Hello Rabbit was sharing a booth with The Last Crumb bakery.
It was a gorgeous day for an outdoor market and look at all the vendor goodies!
I picked up some chai tea mix, some baked goodies, and one of these zipper pouches - because you really can't have too many pouches on hand.
What a great afternoon!
