Rent is done

And just like that, Rent is all finished.
It was only 4 performances but man, did a lot of work go into it. Here's our Mimi, during dress rehearsal.
And here's a compilation of Collins and Angel. Too cute!
And here is a final shot of all of us, just before the curtain call.
And look, this is Amelie, my amazing make up and hair gal - yes I got my make up and hair did FOR me, whoo hoo! Happy closing, Rent 2014!

Rent Band

We added the band in to our Rent rehearsals. It's SO much fun when the band comes in! It sounds so good!!
Only 5 members all together, but man, do they rock out.
And they're all such nice dudes.
I'm getting excited for opening - which is tonight! Here's Angel and Collins in rehearsal:
I made a collage for Instagram of some shots of all the Rent productions I've done. This will be my third. I just can't get enough of this show.

Some Rent film

Last weekend I did some on camera stuff for the production of Rent that I'm doing.
It was a gorgeous day out on this balcony.
Look at that view!
Of course, they had snacks. Healthy fruit and Skittles!
I really love on camera stuff. There was a lot of waiting around, as there usually is in film work, but it's worth it for the half hour or so of camera work.

Rehearsal = Life

Rehearsal is my life these days. Good thing my husband is MD'ing this show, or else I'd never see him.

Rent 3.0 + bakery visit

I'm doing Rent again! I did this show back in 2009, and then again in 2012, both with Fighting Chance Productions. Now we are doing it for 3 nights only, as an end of term project for two gals who are students at VFS.
They saw the 2012 version and got in touch with a bunch of the cast members. So I'll be reunited with my onstage girlfriend, Chelsea! Here she is at a photoshoot, how glamorous!
The location where we are rehearsing is China Town (see post from yesterday). It is one block from New Town bakery, which is dangerous.
This bakery has been around for ages. It's always super busy and they have lots of yummy stuff!
Like bbq pork (Asado) siopao! Oh yum yum yum! Danger, I will be popping in for treats often!
