Gardens

Last weekend we visited the Nitobe Memorial Gardens at UBC. It was a beautiful day and the gardens were just lovely! There's lots of history and symbolism in the gardens - for example bridges reflect different life stages such as marriages or spiritual growth; and waterfalls illustrate the male and female traits in nature. It's a little gem in the city and very close to my building at work, so I can go back any time.

I took a lot of pictures - so many that my phone ran out of space! I compiled them into little collages for your viewing pleasure (thank you Frametastic!):



I love this shot - look at that beautiful Douglas Fir!
