Monkey tail tree

When we got married (7 years ago!) we bought our parents little trees as thank you gifts for all the things they did for us. We got my parents a red maple tree, that's in my mom's yard. And we got the hubs' parents a monkey tail tree. I read somewhere that they are hearty and strong and grow for years and years. It was a wee thing when we got it, but here's what it looks like now:

It's grown a lot! I think it's happy over at their place on the island.
