Funky Beibs

I figured out how to upload videos to this blog - does this thing work?! Here is a quick video of us on Christmas. We usually sing songs with the family after we've stuffed ourselves. My bro-in-law had an accordion, for some reason. It was pretty easy to plunk out a tune, we chose Justin Beiber. Enjoy!

Moody Ales open mic night

Back in March we had an open mic night at Moody Ales. Well they had another one on Monday night.
It was lots of fun! Here's my hubbie singing with two OTHER ladies!! We sang together too, and had some tasty beers, and hung out with some friends. I hope we do it again, it's always a fun time.

Singing at Moody Ales

This week we went back to Moody Ales, for a birthday singalong. My friend Sharon celebrated her birthday. Her hubbie owns the brewery so he let us theatre people take it over for the night.
We carpooled with my friend Matthew, who is Little Miss Glitz with me :)
Here is the hubs, on the piano, as always.
And here's a bunch of us, singing Summer Nights from Grease.
Such fun, I'm sure we'll do it again :)

Fist signs of Christmas

Have you been to the malls recently? They are in full Christmas mode already!
I saw my first signs of Christmas. We had a carolling gig singing at a mall out in Langley. It was lots of fun and got me into the holiday spirit nice and early.
But our "green room" was this empty Target store. It was so strange to be such a huge, empty space.
And another sign of Christmas: winter weather is upon us. it's been so clear and crisp and cold out lately. I caught the crescent moon poking around some tree branches in the clear, November sky.

Sights of the season

It's almost Christmas! Here I am, out and about town. I did some carolling at Canada Place:
I had this yummy treat - a Chai eggnog latte.
And look at these cute cookies. One of the girls in Little Women made them for our closing. It's almost Christmas!
