Masquerade Fundraiser

Last weekend we attended a Black & White Masquerade fundraiser event. All proceeds go to funding research for Morquio B. This was their fifth year doing this event, and it was amazing!

The decor was beautiful, check out this ice sculpture! They had a room bursting with awesome silent auction prizes, as well as lottery tickets, 50/50 tickets, and really awesome thank you bags.

The hubs and a bunch of my friends sang a medley from Phantom of the Opera. It was a great night all benefitting a great cause.

Music Rehearsal

This past weekend we had a bit of rehearsal for The Black House and the Blue Sky. I love the "learning music" part of the process - you just grab a coffee and sit and learn your vocal line. I've missed it these past few months and am very glad to be singing again :)

Singing for Corn

Did you know I love corn? How's that for a random intro! Yesterday me and a couple of my friends did a gig at a seniors home. They had a lovely buffet dinner and we got to fill up a plate and stuff ourselves before we performed. It was good and they had corn! I really, really love corn. So I had my piece, then stole my friend's piece for later. Singing for corn, I'll take it!
