BIG pig!

I saw this pattern and pin on Pinterest and decided to make him up. He turned out very big. His head is huge! It doesn't look like it in this picture, but he is a solid piggy! He'll go into the finished pile but I'll save him for an upcoming birthday gift. Oink, oink!

But I found this green yarn in my stash and really, what else can you make with this colour?

Remembering Cheryl

It was just about a year ago when I made and posted about Ms. Oinky for the wonderful Ms. Cheryl.

This is my favourite picture of Cheryl, receiving the Mary Phillips Award for Behind-the-Scenes-Achievement at the 2011 Jessie Richardson Theatre Awards, which she so truly deserved:

I miss her more each day. I miss her smiling face. I hope she knows how truly loved she was.

Ms. Oinky

Oh boy, it's been a long time since I've had a finished object to blog about. I've been working on this for some time now. It's a pretty pig for my wonderful friend Cheryl!

Cheryl mentioned she collects stuffed piggies and so I insisted she needed a crocheted one. This is what I came up with - Ms. Oinky!

Look at them lovely eyelashes, ain't she purdy?

Ms. Oinky's got a squiggly tail and everything. 

The part that took me the longest was her purple dress, but I think it turned out nicely.

I hope she's happy in her new home with Cheryl. (Cheryl, you can change her name if you want!)
