Plant Life

This row of plants sits on the window sill in a cafe on Main Street. I see such simple plants in little glass jars or pots and think, why don't I do that at home? I have to find a sunny window, either at home or wok, because look how happy they are!

My mint is growing like mad! I can't keep up!

Water

Are ya keeping hydrated in this hot weather? This is a detoxifying water recipe I found on Pinterest: lemon, cucumber and mint. The mint is from my own little container garden.

Grow, grow, grow!

Hurry up and grow, dammit! Plants like it getting yelled at, right?

Look at that berry! It made it to a nice red and then a bird or squirrel got it before I could. Grrrr! I'll have to get some netting...

Container gardening

Ok there hasn't been a lot of crocheting or knitting going on. What can I say, it's summer! The weather 'round my parts has been touch and go, but we did have a few sunny days here and there. I took advantage of the sun and got my mom to help me set up some container gardening!

Here we are at the nursery:

 Plants! There's thyme, basil, tomato plants, mint, and strawberries in the mix:

We had leftover tomato plans, so they're in the little pot. I hope to post lots of pictures of the harvest - we just need some consistent sun!!
