Lola

Earlier this year I wrote about the Hey Buster portrait I had made for Shawna. Well I got another one done, since Claire is so awesome. Here is Lola! Lola is my friend's pomeranian, whom they lost suddenly last year. Now she's immortalized in print, er - portrait.

Another Hey Buster! portrait

Last year I arranged to have a portrait of Omen done from Claire at Hey Buster. It turned out great! So this year, I got a painting of these cool cats done!

This is Che (right) and Cosette (left), the lovely cats of my dear friend Shawna. She's a dancer and they are dancing cats, look at their cute crossed paws! They are getting on in age, and I thought Shawna would like a portrait of them. She did, it turned out great, as usual! Claire is so talented. 

Hey Buster portrait

Back in the fall when I did Speech and Debate, I learned that my cast mate Claire was very talented indeed. She is a graduate of the BFA acting program at UBC, so I already knew she was a fierce actress. But I found out she's an amazing painter as well! She started Hey Buster pet portraiture, go check it out! She does amazing work, AND she was having a sale for Christmas. I put in my order to have a picture done of my in-laws' dog Omen. I sent over a picture, and she let me know what it was ready.

Isn't it gorgeous?? My in-laws loved it - thought it was one of a kind and very special! So yay, best Christmas present ever!
