Goodbye little office

I'm on the move again! This time I'm hopping over to First Year Programs at UBC, to be their Administrator for about 8 months. It will be a learning experience for me, and I get to do some strategic planning and work on other projects. So it will be fun! But it was bittersweet saying goodbye to CENES, even though I will be retuning to them next summer and it's not really goodbye. Vendula baked me some muffins on Friday, to celebrate new beginnings. What a gal.
And when the day was done and everyone else left, I packed up what I could and snapped this final picture with my iPhone. I will miss my little office, even though it's cold in there (notice the folders covering the vents and not one, but two space heaters!). Goodbye for now, little office.

The View, this past year

It's been a whole year since I started my (not so) new job. A year ago, a posted about my lovely view. I have learned a lot throughout this past year, and the view has been with me the whole time. Take a look!

Grad 2014

Yesterday was our graduation day at CENES.
This was the first grad day I had in my new department. Check out the cake!
I just love graduation day. We had a lot of faculty members show up to wish our students well.
Congrats grads!

The view

Today is my first day at CENES, my new department at UBC. I have a TON of stuff to figure out, but here's the view from my window. Isn't that the most gorgeous tree ever?? I can't wait to see it go through the seasons.
Another bonus - I got to trade in all these keys and took only three away. I feel lighter already!

Moving on

Today is my last day in the Department of Theatre and Film. The gals took me out to a lovely lunch at the University Golf Club!
As much as I have enjoyed working here, an exciting new opportunity has come my way. Next week I move to the Department of Central, Eastern, and Northern European Studies (CENES), also at UBC, to be their Administrator! I am nervous and excited and sad and happy, all at once. Wish me luck!
