Paint inspiration

Now that I've dabbled in painting a bit, I'm finding inspiration everywhere. Like here on Alta Lake:
Or these lovely train tracks up in Whistler:
Or even this lovely sunset that someone posted on to Facebook.

Inspiration

I love using scrapbook paper as inspiration for crocheted items. I picked this up at Michael's awhile ago...
and came up with this dude...
I love it when ideas become things!

Hat inspiration

I found some inspiration for hats while we were out and about this weekend. This lovely turban toque:
And this hat with a lovely flower:
Maybe I will try my own patterns for these some day.

Monsters on the brain

I'm not sure why, but I've had monsters on my brain. Not scary monsters, but cute cartoon monsters! I've pinned a few ideas I've seen around to my Crafty Creatures board on Pinterest. And look at this cute paper I found at Michael's:

I've used fun scrapbooking paper to inspire me in the past; I wonder what kind of stuffies this will inspire?

Snail inspiration

I came out of the house the other morning and this guy was on our railing.

You know, just hanging out, sliding his way slowly down the bannister.

I think he will inspire me to make a softie version.

Inspiration

I look for inspiration for my yarn goodies everywhere. These are two printed paper sheets I saw at Michael's last weekend:

Sock Monkeys! Robots and rockets! I hope to turn these into knit or crocheted goods someday!
