National Crochet Month

PNE and the end of Summer

This past Monday we went to the PNE. It was Labour Day and it always marks the unofficial end of summer. I didn't manage to make it with my buddy Allison like I have in past years. It was a shortened down version of the fair for me this year, but I'm glad I made it.

The hubby was excited about the Froyo booth:

We went through this very interesting exhibit on Genghis Khan!

And it's just not a visit to the fair without these tasty mini donuts.

It's not REALLY the end of Summer though! I'm convinced September will have some nice summer weather!!

Dessert containers

I found a couple of nice clear containers to package up my crocheted desserts. I had been searching for these since it's nice to make a package set of the desserts, but I only found two of them. I think you can order then in bulk but hey, they look pretty cute!

Here's Set One: two donuts, two cupcakes, and four cookies.

And Set Two: four cupcakes and eight cookies.

I don't have a craft fair lined up to sell them at, but I'm sure one will come up soon.

Donuts and the PNE

Tonight I'm going to the PNE! I love the PNE, it's a summer tradition. There are many things I like about the fair: Superdogs, the free talent shows, ShowMart, the prize home, and the FOOD. They have those little donuts that are so, so yummy.

Here are some crocheted donuts I made - the yarn is not as tasty as the cinnamon sugar, that's for sure...
