Bday boy

Look at this birthday boy! My hubs had his birthday on Sunday.

It's close to my Pa's bday, so we always celebrate Thanksgiving and two birthdays all together. More dessert!

Rent Band

We added the band in to our Rent rehearsals. It's SO much fun when the band comes in! It sounds so good!!

Only 5 members all together, but man, do they rock out.

And they're all such nice dudes.

I made a collage for Instagram of some shots of all the Rent productions I've done. This will be my third. I just can't get enough of this show.

The Chariot Cities

Here's another show to tell you about - this time, it's my husband's show! It's called The Chariot Cities, and it's playing right now at the Vancouver Fringe Festival. It's about a musical family: even though their lives are messed up, they make beautiful music. It has some great talent in it, which makes for a great show!

Summer Eats

I had a chance to eat with my husband on the weekend. This is a big deal! We never have the same schedule, especially when both of us are doing shows.

Crepes! Attack!

This was at a German bakery near my yoga studio.

They had a yummy granola-fruit-yogurt dish, in adult and kids size.

Shrek at TUTS

This year my husband is back at TUTS, music directing Shrek. It was so much fun to be in How to Succeed last year, but a bit too much of a time commitment. So I didn't audition this year. But he's down in the park, and I made it to their first preview on the weekend. Here's a shot of beautiful English Bay:

And here's a shot of the curtain call. You can't see anything, lol! But it's a great, up-beat, family-friendly, feel-good show. It officially opened last night, so check it out in Stanley Park, if you can!

New Car!

A couple weeks ago we said adios to another old car. We have had many old cars in the past, and we were still left with this one, our Ford Explorer.

This was a hand-me-down from my mom, and it served us well. She was on her last legs, so we finally, FINALLY took the plunge and bought a NEW car!

Here it is, our brand new 2014 Volkswagen Tiguan!

It's so beautiful and shiny and new and has a wonderful new-car smell!

We feel very grown up, and will be paying this thing off for years. But it's so worth it! Great deal, and the people at Clarkdale were so wonderful to deal with. Now me and the hubs will be fighting over it!
