Vanna's Choice Contest - Free yarn!!

Remember when I entered the Vanna's Choice contest awhile ago? Well it's been a long time since I hit my "submit" button, and I eventually found out I didn't win first prize, so I don't get to fly down to LA to meet Vanna White! BUT my entry did win one of the second place prizes - which means I got free yarn. I have been waiting to see when they would update their website so I could tell the world!

In late July, we came home to a box on our doorstep. A box from Lion Brand!

Vanna's Choice Contest - next round

I posted back in January about Lion Brand's Vanna's Choice contest, and posted a pic of my palette. I designed a Spaceship Play Set, and guess what, the judges picked it to go on to the next round! This round is where the public can vote, once a day, until April 3. You have to log in to the site to vote. There are lots of great prizes, but the top prize is a trip to LA to meet Vanna White! Did you know she's a master crocheter?? How cool!

Vanna's Choice Contest

I have never heard of this contest, but I've decided to enter! It's called Vanna's Choice Contest, run by Lion Brand yarn. You have to design something in her yarn, using at least three colours. Here's my colour palette:

I had hoped for a brighter yellow, but this one will do. Now I gotta start crocheting - the contest closes Feb 3!
